Position Overview

EVERSANA is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Medical Affairs Content, Operations & Review to lead complex medical projects, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality Medical Information (MI), medical content, and Medical / Legal / Regulatory (MLR) review services.

This role combines client management, project leadership, and strategic oversight, providing direct support for client deliverables while contributing to the development of global Medical Affairs strategies. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with global MA and MI leadership, driving operational excellence, innovation, and integrated medical solutions for life sciences clients.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Client Management

  • Lead and manage complex, cross-functional Medical Affairs projects, including MI operations, medical content development, MLR review, and MA consulting

  • Serve as primary Client/Project Manager, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with client objectives

  • Oversee project teams comprising internal staff and external consultants, promoting collaboration and efficient resource utilization

Client Support & Strategy

  • Provide direct support for client projects, deliverables, and medical information requests

  • Offer strategic guidance and consultancy for assigned clients

  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives including white papers, publications, webinars, conferences, and marketing campaigns

  • Maintain knowledge of European and global regulations, market trends, and best practices impacting Medical Affairs and MI

Operational Excellence & Innovation

  • Drive continuous improvement in MI/MA operations, including process optimization, technology adoption, and performance metrics

  • Champion digital tools and platforms to enhance content delivery, stakeholder engagement, and operational efficiency

  • Implement innovative approaches to Medical Affairs service delivery

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with global leaders across MA, MI, and other business units to deliver integrated, best-in-class solutions

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and excellence in MA deliverables

  • Represent Medical Affairs in strategic discussions with clients and internal stakeholders

Team Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor team members (FTEs and consultants) to align capabilities with evolving business needs

  • Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional growth across teams and projects

  • Manage assigned European-based MA teams, including performance reviews, career development, and personnel actions

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with client stakeholders

  • Monitor client satisfaction, proactively address concerns, and ensure retention and repeat business

  • Identify opportunities to expand EVERSANA’s footprint with clients through innovative MA solutions

Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards

  • Uphold high ethical standards in all client and internal interactions

Travel: Up to 25%
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree in medical or scientific field (MPharm, MD, PhD, or equivalent)

Experience:

  • 5+ years in Medical Information / Medical Affairs within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device/diagnostic industry

  • Proven project management experience, including vendor or technology management

  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports and teams

  • Expertise in MA Operations & Excellence across MI, Medical Communications, and MLR

Skills & Competencies:

  • Results-driven, team-oriented, with strong influence and leadership skills

  • Innovative, analytical, and solution-focused, with ability to work independently

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience managing multi-client projects in Agile or fast-paced environments
