Role Overview
The Regional Business Director – Hematology will lead, develop, and manage a high-performing Oncology sales team in the Northeast region of the United States, including NY, MA, NH, VT, CT, PA, and NJ. This position is responsible for achieving sales targets, implementing regional and national strategies, and ensuring compliance with field operations.
This role is ideal for a strategic leader with proven experience in oncology sales leadership, team development, and commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, hire, and develop top sales talent within the hematology field.
Establish a culture of value-based selling, leveraging digital and in-person channels.
Mentor and coach team members, driving sales performance and professional growth.
Create a high-performing team culture that prioritizes actions with patient impact.
Strategic Commercial Execution
Develop and execute regional and national sales strategies and business plans.
Focus on high-impact opportunities through customer-specific approaches.
Evaluate market trends, practice models, and key accounts to optimize sales outcomes.
Partner with alliance teams to improve customer experience and business results.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Ensure team adherence to corporate policies, regulatory standards, and ethical practices.
Set expectations for the use of approved promotional programs and field activities.
Analyze regional business metrics and create actionable plans to exceed sales goals.
Communicate market intelligence, business performance, and team progress to leadership.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate across cross-functional teams to support product launches and strategic initiatives.
Actively participate in internal and external meetings to align objectives and optimize outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience with 3+ years in leadership.
Proven track record in oncology and preferably hematology sales leadership.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
Successful experience in launching oncology products and achieving results.
Strong strategic thinking, operational execution, and compliance awareness.
Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Proficient with MS Office, MS Teams, Veeva Engage, and other digital tools.
Willingness to travel by car and plane within the region.
Compensation & Benefits (U.S.)
Salary Range: $197,840 – $296,760 annually (based on skills, experience, and location)
