Overview:

Indegene is seeking an experienced editor/proofreader for its pharmaceutical client projects. The role involves reviewing, editing, and ensuring high-quality medical and promotional content for readability, compliance, and accuracy. This position requires strong command of English, attention to detail, and understanding of life sciences/pharmaceutical concepts.


Key Responsibilities:

Content Review & Editing

  • Edit documents according to style guides and client brand guidelines.

  • Check language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and consistency to ensure readability.

  • Review content for logical flow, target audience suitability, and overall quality.

  • Identify data conflicts or inconsistencies within documents.

  • Ensure quality standards and timelines are met for assigned tasks.

Compliance & Process Adherence

  • Follow checklists, standard operating procedures, and client guidelines.

  • Raise flags for any issues or scope changes during editing.

  • Minimize intervention required from management while maintaining quality.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with client teams to understand content expectations and requirements.

  • Provide feedback and maintain clear communication regarding issues, conflicts, or edits.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Life Sciences or M.A. in English Literature.

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as an editor or proofreader.

    • Experience in medical/pharmaceutical environments preferred.

    • Non-medical graduates with relevant pharmaceutical research editing experience may apply.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to apply style guides, brand guidelines, and SOPs effectively.

  • Knowledge of medical or pharmaceutical terminology is preferred.
