Position Overview

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to support analytical testing operations within the Membrane Analytical Lab (MAL). This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, quality, and performance of biopharmaceutical membrane products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience and a strong commitment to compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence.

This position requires eligibility to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform membrane testing in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety requirements.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory quality testing equipment.

  • Support ongoing laboratory projects under the guidance of senior technicians.

  • Complete and review documentation in accordance with GMP standards.

  • Participate in Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations.

  • Assist in executing protocols, qualifications, and validations.

  • Develop competency to independently conduct membrane analytical testing.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and prepare testing setups under close supervision.

  • Ensure accurate data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.

  • Proactively report safety, quality, and productivity concerns.


Physical Requirements

  • Regular exposure to laboratory equipment, chemical reagents, and Biosafety Level 1–2 materials.

  • Ability to stand or sit for up to 12-hour shifts.

  • Ability to lift 20–30 lbs frequently; maximum lift requirement 40–50 lbs.

  • Frequent bending, twisting, handling, and manipulation of materials requiring fine motor skills.


Work Schedule

Shift: B Shift
Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM


Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.

  • High school diploma or GED.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in any discipline.

  • 2+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.

  • Experience with aseptic laboratory techniques.

  • Basic understanding of EHS, ISO, and cGMP regulations.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.


Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $22.00–$39.00
Actual compensation depends on experience, education, skills, and location. This position may also qualify for performance-based bonuses.
