Position Overview

IQVIA is seeking a Korean Language Quality Specialist to support global linguistic quality initiatives across multilingual translation projects. This role plays a critical part in monitoring translation accuracy, supporting vendor performance, and strengthening the overall global quality management framework. You will collaborate closely with the Language Quality Specialist Manager, the Head of Quality and Compliance, and diverse global teams to ensure consistently high-quality deliverables across all languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage Quality Feedback Reports and Improvement Plans for selected translation resources in coordination with project managers, internal linguists, external reviewers, and talent managers.
• Analyze language quality issues and develop strategic improvement plans at both global and local levels.
• Support project managers and talent managers in proactively resolving potential quality concerns.
• Evaluate and recommend vendor promotions or demotions based on documented performance and quality scoring.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of resource performance and language quality trends.
• Monitor edit-distance metrics per language and propose measures to improve language accuracy.
• Contribute to the global language quality strategy and implement tools to enhance oversight of outsourced translation quality.
• Collaborate with the Terminology Coordinator to ensure creation, updates, and proper management of linguistic assets.
• Assist in building and maintaining a comprehensive quality system, including SOP development for language quality workflows.
• Support the creation of best practices and continuous improvements within Language Quality.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

3–5 years of experience as a Language Quality Specialist or in a similar linguistics quality role managing multilingual translation projects.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments with strong mediation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting project needs.
• High levels of ownership, motivation, and results-driven work ethic.
• Higher education in translation, linguistics, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Deep understanding of multilingual quality monitoring processes and global translation workflows.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across dispersed international teams.

Experience Level

3–5 years of professional experience in language quality management, translation quality assessment, or multilingual content review.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent keyboard usage requiring repetitive hand and finger motions.
• Extensive use of verbal communication for calls and meetings.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
