In this critical role, you will help drive Pfizer's digital transformation by leveraging generative AI technologies to improve the workflows and knowledge systems within PSSM. You will collaborate with various teams across Pfizer to implement AI-driven solutions for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing processes, aiming to enhance business outcomes and scientific decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. AI Application to Pharmaceutical Sciences:

    • Understand the complexities of scientific fields (chemistry, physics, engineering) and identify opportunities for applying generative AI techniques to solve business challenges.
    • Curate and evaluate scientific documents and data sources to assess performance of large language models (LLMs) in generating domain-specific knowledge for pharmaceutical sciences.
  2. Development of Knowledge Extraction Pipelines:

    • Work closely with system/data engineers to build pipelines for knowledge extraction from a variety of data sources (text, images, video, and multimodal datasets) related to pharmaceutical sciences development and manufacturing.
  3. Model Research & Development:

    • Explore and evaluate transformer models (e.g., GPT, CLIP, ViT-YOLOs) for tasks including object content generation, computer vision, and image-text alignment.
    • Fine-tune models for domain-specific use, experiment with training strategies, and interpret results to improve model accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Advanced Insight Retrieval Techniques:

    • Apply advanced retrieval techniques like RAG, Langchain, Knowledge Graph Embeddings to improve the extraction of insights from unstructured pharmaceutical data, while integrating structured data, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.
  5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Share your findings and insights with internal stakeholders to influence business decisions and strategic direction.
    • Work with Pfizer Digital to deploy and monitor AI models in scalable environments, ensuring ongoing optimization through retraining.
  6. Continuous Learning & Upskilling:
