Medical Science Liaison – Cardiovascular and Emerging Therapy Areas | Chiyoda, Japan
Job Summary:
Novo Nordisk Japan is seeking a skilled Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support its Cardiovascular and Emerging Therapy Areas (CETA). Based in Chiyoda, this role focuses on scientific engagement with key opinion leaders, advancing clinical education, and supporting trial activities to improve patient care and product impact. Ideal for medical affairs professionals with strong communication skills and expertise in cardiometabolic diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to promote the safe and effective use of Novo Nordisk products.
Deliver up-to-date medical information and insights during symposia, scientific meetings, and field visits.
Gather field insights to shape internal strategy and marketing initiatives.
Support clinical trial execution through site evaluation, initiation visits, and recruitment.
Collaborate with Medical Representatives to provide scientific guidance and speaker development aligned with brand strategy.
Ensure full compliance with local and global regulatory and ethical standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced degree in health sciences (minimum Master’s; PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred).
In-depth experience in therapeutic areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, or diabetes.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with a solid foundation in scientific knowledge.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken); ability to review scientific literature.
Good command of MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of compliance, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory frameworks.
