General Manager – Novo Nordisk Oceania | North Sydney, Australia

Job Summary:

Novo Nordisk is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead operations across Australia and New Zealand (Oceania). Based in North Sydney, this executive leadership role offers a high-impact opportunity to shape organizational growth in chronic disease care. As a member of the Asia Pacific regional leadership team, you'll spearhead strategy, drive market access, and foster stakeholder relations across key healthcare ecosystems in diabetes, obesity, and related areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute mid-to-long-term commercial strategies aligned with Novo Nordisk’s purpose and values.

  • Lead, inspire, and develop cross-functional teams with a focus on innovation, digitalization, and patient-centricity.

  • Ensure strong P&L management, deliver sales growth, and enhance market access across Oceania.

  • Cultivate high-level external relationships with government bodies, healthcare authorities, and industry partners.

  • Champion ethical practices and compliance, promoting the company’s reputation and strategic influence.

  • Represent the organization at key forums, fostering trust and visibility in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Pharmacy, Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.

  • 15–20 years of experience in pharmaceutical or therapeutic health industries.

  • Minimum 8 years in senior executive leadership managing multiple business functions.

  • Proven people leadership, with at least 8 years managing senior teams across diverse settings.

  • Strong public affairs and stakeholder engagement skills; experience navigating regulatory and market access frameworks.

  • Strategic, innovative, and collaborative mindset with a commitment to compliance and sustainable healthcare leadership.
