Job Summary:
Cognizant Consulting is hiring a Senior Manager – Healthcare Consulting with specialized experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) to lead large-scale healthcare transformation programs. This hybrid role (based in the USA) offers the opportunity to drive innovation in PBM transitions, collaborate with top-tier clients, and provide strategic solutions across healthcare and pharmacy delivery systems. Ideal for professionals with over 10 years of experience in healthcare consulting, digital transformation, and PBM domain leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engagement delivery across commercial healthcare consulting projects.
Act as the primary point of contact for client relationship and delivery alignment.
Supervise cross-functional project teams and enforce solution quality.
Evaluate growth opportunities within client engagements and propose strategic enhancements.
Guide solution development across pharmacy benefit services, including mail order and specialty pharmacy.
Conduct post-project evaluations to capture best practices and identify reusable solutions.
Develop client presentations and thought leadership materials that reflect industry trends and PBM innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in consulting, digital strategy, or transformation programs in healthcare.
Proven experience with major PBM clients or in large-scale PBM transition programs.
Background in mail order/specialty pharmacy operations.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, or a relevant discipline.
Techno-functional skillset with the ability to manage requirements and write user stories.
Familiarity with consulting frameworks, requirement gathering, and solution design.
Strong executive presence, storytelling, and PowerPoint development skills.
Experience with onshore/offshore delivery models and managing distributed teams.
Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the healthcare and PBM landscape.
Preferred:
Prior experience in Big 4 management consulting firms.
Expertise in managing global clients and large healthcare delivery accounts.
Demonstrated ability to lead client transformation initiatives with measurable outcomes.
