Job Overview:

The Principal Consultant, Senior Director is a senior-level consulting leader responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and delivering high-impact consulting engagements. This role focuses on strategic advisory across areas such as clinical development, real-world evidence (RWE), health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), market access, and regulatory strategy, helping clients demonstrate value across the product lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new and repeat business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Lead scoping, budgeting, and proposal development
  • Participate in:
    • Conferences
    • Bid defenses
    • Capability presentations
  • Contribute significantly to financial and revenue targets

Client Delivery:

  • Lead and oversee consulting engagements
  • Ensure delivery meets client expectations and objectives
  • Provide strategic, methodological, and scientific expertise
  • Guide project leaders and teams to ensure quality outcomes
  • Communicate insights and findings effectively to clients

Practice & Company Initiatives:

  • Drive innovation initiatives aligned with market needs
  • Author white papers and thought leadership content
  • Contribute to internal strategy and capability building

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams (regulatory, clinical, commercial)
  • Mentor and guide team members
  • Support hiring and talent development
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment
  • Uphold company values, ethics, and professional standards

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Graduate-level degree in a relevant field such as:
    • Public Health / Public Policy
    • Economics / Statistics / Data Science
    • Epidemiology / Health Economics
    • Pharmacy / Medical
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Proven expertise in at least one area:
    • Real-World Evidence (RWE)
    • HEOR
    • Market Access
    • Value Demonstration
    • Reimbursement Strategy
    • Regulatory Strategy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships
  • Willingness to travel internationally (15%–50%)

Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of consulting experience in relevant domains
  • 8+ years of experience in:
    • Client relationship management
    • Leading cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong business development and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and drive innovation
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines and teams

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $180,000 – $200,000 (excluding bonuses/benefits)
