Job Overview

The Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist provides in-home diagnostic services to support patient care. Responsibilities include traveling to patient residences to perform phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and macular edema screenings.

Role Highlights:

  • Flexible, per diem schedule with no minimum visit requirement

  • Paid hourly for appointment and travel time (2-hour minimum)

  • Mileage reimbursement per IRS standards


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to standards.

  • Conduct screenings (EKGs, macular edema exams) following provided training.

  • Monitor and manage clinical supply inventory.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment for transportation and supplies.

  • Identify and report adverse events, medical product complaints, or patient inquiries per IQVIA/manufacturer guidelines.

Administrative Duties

  • Collaborate with IQVIA clinical coordination team to submit visit-related paperwork promptly.

  • Maintain accurate time and mileage logs for reimbursement and compliance.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings.

  • 1+ year EKG experience preferred.

  • Certification as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.

    • Washington and Louisiana: state-issued CMA or CPT required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (equipment transport).

  • Willingness to travel up to 100 miles for patient visits.

  • Proficient with medical equipment and proper documentation practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patient-focused.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record review.

  • Must pass drug screening and background check post-offer.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $25.00 per hour

  • Pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, and schedule.

  • Potential incentives, bonuses, and additional benefits depending on position.
