About the Role

IQVIA’s In-Home Clinical Solutions team is hiring a Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to deliver high-quality, in-home diagnostic and clinical services.
This per diem role involves visiting patients’ homes to perform medical procedures such as phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and macular edema screenings, supporting patient treatment initiation and adherence.

The role offers flexible scheduling, no minimum visit requirements, and hourly pay that includes both appointment and travel time. IQVIA manages all scheduling and patient communication — allowing you to focus on clinical care.


Position Details

  • Type: Per Diem, Mobile-Based

  • Schedule: Flexible (no minimum monthly visit requirement)

  • Compensation: Paid hourly (includes appointment and travel time; 2-hour minimum per visit)

  • Mileage Reimbursement: IRS-standard rate


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transportation in compliance with IQVIA and regulatory standards.

  • Follow all laboratory safety and specimen handling protocols.

  • Conduct clinical screenings, including:

    • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

    • Macular edema screenings (training provided)

  • Maintain clean and organized work conditions, including supply management and transport readiness.

  • Track and manage clinical supply inventory effectively.

  • Collaborate with IQVIA’s clinical coordination team to complete and submit visit documentation accurately and on time.

  • Report adverse events, medical product complaints, or patient inquiries according to company and manufacturer procedures.

  • Maintain accurate mileage and time logs for reimbursement and audit compliance.


Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field environments (required).

    • At least 1 year of EKG experience (preferred).

  • Certification:

    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.

    • In Washington or Louisiana, a valid state-issued CMA or CPT license is required.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (medical/diagnostic equipment such as eye exam kits).

  • Travel:

    • Willingness to travel up to 100 miles for patient visits.

  • Skills:

    • Proficient with medical instruments and documentation standards.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient-centered approach.

    • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license (subject to driving record review).

    • Successful completion of drug screening and background check post-offer.


Compensation

  • Base Pay: $25.00 per hour

  • Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, education, and location.
