Overview

IQVIA is hiring MedTech Field Service Representatives to support clients’ remediation and technical service needs across hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with healthcare facilities and technology teams to ensure on-time, high-quality system implementation and support.

You will partner closely with customer project teams to deliver seamless system rollouts, technical troubleshooting, and compliance support—all while maintaining exceptional service standards and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond, evaluate, and prioritize assigned service orders for client remediation requests (hardware, software, networking, and technical systems).

  • Deliver high-quality technical customer service — professional, empathetic, reliable, and resourceful communication.

  • Accurately document all service actions in the tracking system.

  • Identify, isolate, and resolve routine issues; escalate complex problems to senior team members or management.

  • Maintain a personal parts inventory and source parts from approved vendors.

  • Obtain and maintain all required vendor credentialing for service access across healthcare sites.

  • Coordinate schedule availability and notify IQVIA/BD teams of time-off requests to ensure continuous coverage.

  • Follow calibration protocols for all tools used during servicing to ensure compliance.


Requirements

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma required (higher degree preferred).

  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.

  • Prior experience as a military technician, computer/electronics technician, or similar technical role.

  • Experience in healthcare, field service, biomedical engineering, maintenance, customer service, or IT is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and prolonged standing.

  • Must meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Background as a Pharmacy Technician, Informaticist, or LPN.

  • Retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

  • 4+ years experience in a healthcare or technical systems environment.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in customer settings.


Travel Requirements

  • Local and national travel required to support clients.

  • Must arrive at customer sites within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.

  • Active driver’s license and personal vehicle required.

  • Travel time and mileage are paid.


Vaccine & Credentialing Requirements

Since this role involves entering healthcare facilities, candidates must complete hospital credentialing and meet all immunization requirements, including:

  • Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)

  • Varicella (Chickenpox)

  • Negative TB Test

  • Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Tdap)

  • Hepatitis B

  • Influenza (seasonal)

  • COVID-19 primary series (booster may be required)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $30.00 per hour
