Your Role at Vantive

As a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL), you will provide clinical and technical expertise within the Therapeutic Area (TA) of Chronic Kidney Disease. Partnering with the Regional Medical Director, you will implement medical strategies and align the Voice of Customer (VOC) with Global Therapeutic Area Leaders and clinical development teams. This position requires deep clinical knowledge of therapies and product lines, enabling you to guide product support and development.

This role can be home-based in Germany.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute cluster business strategies to optimize markets for current and future products.
  • Deliver high-value medical-to-medical educational programs supporting commercial team efforts.
  • Support MSLs and new team members in medical affairs activities, both internally and in the field.
  • Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to promote Baxter’s products.
  • Collaborate with medical organizations and external subject matter experts (e.g., clinical investigators).
  • Create and facilitate scientific Advisory Boards.
  • Represent Vantive at conferences and meetings, providing scientific expertise.
  • Review and approve promotional, scientific, and educational materials for therapeutic areas.
  • Support clinical research strategy, including Phase IV research, registries, and product development.
  • Stay updated on medical science developments and trends.
  • Manage cluster medical grants and budgets within TA expertise.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline; MD, PhD, or equivalent academic qualifications preferred.
  • Formal medical, clinical, or scientific education with relevant Medical Affairs experience.
  • Background in clinical healthcare, ideally with renal experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience and 10+ years post-graduate healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and German with excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in clinical presentations and medical education.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing projects and timelines effectively.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare regulations for medical communications.
  • Willingness to travel across the cluster.
  • Computer literacy, awareness of AI, and familiarity with social media.
  • Experience with literature review, synthesis, and analysis.
