Job Description

As a Medical Information Specialist at EVERSANA, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. Your responsibilities will include providing scientifically balanced, evidence-based, and non-promotional information to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers. Additionally, you will handle post-marketing activities such as adverse event reporting and product quality complaint management. This role will also involve overseeing medical communications operations and ensuring the successful delivery of drug safety-related activities as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Inbox Management: Handle case processing of adverse event reports, product quality complaints, and medical inquiries.
  • Data Entry & Triage: Efficiently triage and enter adverse event reports, product quality complaints, and medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, consumers, and patients.
  • Identify Issues: Identify adverse events and product complaints during data entry, ensuring they are appropriately documented and processed.
  • Medical Writing: Use strong writing skills to create adverse event and product quality complaint reports and custom responses to medical inquiries.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate the necessary processes to address quality-related complaints, interacting with client managers and relevant teams.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the global inbox activities and meet client requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality monitoring and peer review of the global inbox team’s work, ensuring compliance with client performance requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Pharm.D, Master of Science (MSc), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or any other Life Sciences degree.
  • Skills: Strong documentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a solid clinical background.
  • Language Proficiency: Must speak, read, and write in English fluently.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis of medical literature.
  • Strong communication skills for both verbal and written interactions with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Knowledge of FDA’s post-marketing adverse event reporting regulations and safety terminology.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle complex data and requests.
