Job Overview

The Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS), is responsible for the development, review, and delivery of high-quality medical content across multiple formats and channels. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content is scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with therapeutic area priorities. The position supports innovation in medical communication, including the use of generative AI tools, multimedia content, and digital platforms to enhance engagement and knowledge dissemination.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Content Development

  • Develop a wide range of external-facing medical content, including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations, graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, slide decks, medical education resources, social media content, infographics, videos, and other multimedia assets.

  • Research, organize, compile, and interpret technical and medical information for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and quality of content.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical communications, scientific publication committees, congress working groups, digital content teams, and generative AI teams to create content for assigned therapeutic areas or medicines.

  • Provide guidance and solutions for content development in collaboration with graphics, compliance, statistics, and AI teams.

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of all medical content, maintaining high standards of data integrity and scientific validity.

Project Execution and Compliance

  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring completion within expected deadlines while adhering to quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

  • Track project progress, identify potential issues, and resolve challenges with guidance from team leads.

  • Support the development of training materials for product- or therapeutic area-specific priorities.

  • Ensure training and proficiency in relevant tools, processes, and emerging technologies, including generative AI platforms, for efficient and compliant content creation.

Continuous Learning and Knowledge Sharing

  • Stay current with trends and best practices in medical content development and communication.

  • Develop expertise in advanced tools, techniques, and technologies for content creation and share knowledge with the broader MCCS team.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and innovation in medical communications.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MSc, MPH, MPharm) in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical writing or content development within pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, CROs, or biotech organizations.

  • Strong scientific writing and data interpretation skills with the ability to summarize complex information concisely and persuasively.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects end-to-end independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with global and cross-functional stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to follow up consistently with collaborators.

  • Understanding of statistical and epidemiologic principles used in medical research.

  • Effective verbal and written English communication, flexible to adapt tone and style for different audiences.

  • Knowledge of technology applications in medical content development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing content for specific therapeutic areas.

  • ISMPP-CMPP® certification.

  • Multimedia and omnichannel content development experience.

  • Prior global exposure in professional or educational settings.

  • Rapid adoption and integration of new digital content tools, technology, and resources.
