Role Overview

The Associate Program Manager III will support strategic Medical Affairs initiatives by leading cross-functional program execution, stakeholder engagement, and evidence planning. This role requires a strong foundation in project management, scientific communication, and medical strategy to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across program portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, leadership, consulting teams, and internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with customers to establish vision, scope, and execution strategies for program or portfolio initiatives.

  • Demonstrate strong project management capabilities to meet defined objectives, milestones, timelines, and budgets.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to project managers to ensure delivery excellence.

  • Deliver executive-level program reporting and portfolio performance updates.

  • Collaborate with franchise leads to define project priorities and Medical Affairs objectives across assets.

  • Serve as primary contact for communication, reporting, and risk management across projects.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and potential obstacles proactively.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards.

  • Translate complex scientific and clinical data into strategic, business-oriented presentations and storyboards.

  • Contribute to medical strategic planning and evidence generation initiatives.

  • Lead coordination of Medical Plans and Integrated Evidence Plans (IEP).

  • Facilitate stakeholder reviews and ensure alignment on medical strategy documentation.

  • Establish consistent reporting templates and performance metrics across franchises.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field preferred).

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, or advanced Life Sciences degree) preferred.

  • 3–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or Medical Affairs environments.

  • Strong understanding of Medical Affairs operations and Integrated Evidence Planning.

  • Demonstrated experience in program or project management.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking skills.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • High integrity, initiative, and results-driven mindset.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, global setting.
