Role Overview

The Senior Manager – CRM will lead enterprise-wide CRM and Commercial IT strategy across multiple markets and business units. This role is responsible for portfolio governance, platform standardization, compliance-by-design architecture, global delivery oversight, vendor governance, and measurable value realization.

The position requires deep expertise in Pharma CRM systems, regulatory compliance frameworks, data architecture, analytics enablement, and large-scale digital transformation programs within regulated environments.

Core Responsibilities

1. CRM Strategy & Portfolio Governance

  • Define and execute a 12–24-month global CRM roadmap aligned with commercial strategy

  • Drive quarterly portfolio reviews, OKRs, financial tracking, and benefits realization

  • Standardize platforms across markets while delivering measurable business value

  • Manage enterprise CRM budgets including licenses, projects, and run operations

2. Delivery & Program Excellence

  • Lead multi-market CRM implementations and upgrades including CLM, STP, Chemist Reporting, Expense Management, and Sample Tracking

  • Oversee release governance, DevSecOps practices, regression automation, and hypercare frameworks

  • Ensure risk management, issue resolution, and contractual/SOW governance

3. Pharma CRM & Compliance Leadership

  • Drive Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) capabilities including:

    • CLM / eDetailing

    • Call Reporting

    • Territory & STP Management

    • Sample Management

    • RCPA & Retail Reporting

    • Expense Workflows

  • Embed compliance controls aligned with UCPMP, DPDP (India), GDPR, and 21 CFR Part 11

  • Institutionalize consent management, audit trails, and PV/AE intake routing

4. Architecture, Data & Integration

  • Provide solution leadership across Salesforce, Veeva, Phyzii, and Microsoft Dynamics platforms

  • Implement API-first integration patterns (REST, webhooks, iPaaS)

  • Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory

  • Strengthen data architecture including DWH/CDP (Snowflake, BigQuery), MDM, identity resolution, and observability frameworks

5. Operations & Risk Management

  • Own L1–L3 support SLAs and incident management performance (MTTR targets)

  • Ensure uptime ≥99.9% and change success rates ≥97%

  • Maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) readiness

  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Pharmacovigilance teams to ensure zero critical audit findings

6. Analytics & Value Realization

  • Develop executive dashboards and SFE scorecards using Tableau, Power BI, or CRM Analytics

  • Track adoption metrics such as login frequency, CLM utilization, and call reporting completeness

  • Quantify ROI across CRM initiatives with targeted ≥3:1 return

  • Improve campaign pull-through and approval cycle-time efficiency

7. Vendor & Financial Governance

  • Manage OEM and System Integrator (SI) partnerships

  • Negotiate contracts and optimize license and operational costs

  • Benchmark unit economics and redeploy savings to high-ROI initiatives

8. Leadership & Change Management

  • Build and mentor high-performing CRM teams including administrators, business analysts, and data specialists

  • Drive structured adoption frameworks, SOP playbooks, and change narratives

  • Ensure succession planning and capability development in privacy, automation, and analytics

Key Performance Indicators

  • ≥90% active user adoption within 45 days of go-live

  • CLM utilization increase of 30% YoY

  • Uptime ≥99.9% with P1 MTTR ≤2 hours

  • ≥98% dashboard data freshness

  • Zero critical audit findings

  • 100% quarterly roadmap milestone delivery within ±10% variance

  • Team retention ≥90%

Required Skills & Expertise

  • 15+ years total experience in CRM, MarTech, or Commercial IT

  • 7–10 years leading global programs in pharma or regulated industries

  • Deep understanding of pharma commercial compliance frameworks

  • Strong expertise in CRM architecture, data governance, and analytics enablement

  • Experience managing global multi-country CRM deployments

  • Proven executive stakeholder management capabilities

  • Strong financial governance and vendor management experience
