Role Overview

The Global HEOR Economic Modelling Senior Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting global market access and payer strategy through the design and execution of advanced health economic models. This position partners closely with Global HEOR Product Leads to ensure alignment with product development strategy, value communication, and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements.

The role focuses on developing robust cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and comparative effectiveness models that inform payer decision-making and reimbursement strategies across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop global core health economic models across all product lifecycle stages.

  • Build cost-effectiveness and cost-utility models including Markov models and partitioned survival models.

  • Develop cost-minimization and budget impact models aligned with payer and HTA requirements.

  • Program and validate models using Excel, R, or Python, ensuring integration of clinical trial, real-world, epidemiological, and economic data.

  • Conduct statistical analyses to generate model inputs including treatment effects, survival extrapolations, health utility values, and resource utilization.

  • Lead advanced evidence synthesis including Network Meta-Analysis (NMA) and Matching-Adjusted Indirect Comparisons (MAIC).

  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses including deterministic and probabilistic approaches.

  • Deliver technical documentation including model structure files, programming documentation, user guides, and technical reports.

  • Align modeling strategy with global product value strategy and evolving HTA guidelines.

  • Communicate complex economic results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant economic modelling experience with a Master’s degree
    OR

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant economic modelling experience with a Bachelor’s degree

Experience must include:

  • Development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models

  • Hands-on NMA and MAIC execution

  • Supporting HTA submissions or payer evidence generation

  • Work experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare consulting environments

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel-based economic modelling

  • Strong programming capabilities in R, Python, SAS, or STATA

  • Advanced statistical and quantitative analytical skills

  • Understanding of global HTA frameworks and payer evidence requirements

  • Experience integrating real-world evidence (RWE) into economic models
