Global HEOR Economic Modelling Senior Associate Job in Hyderabad | Amgen | Health Economics, HTA, Cost Effectiveness Models

Amgen is hiring a Global HEOR Economic Modelling Senior Associate in Hyderabad, India to support its global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategy. This role focuses on building health economic models, cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact models, and payer evidence generation to support market access and reimbursement decisions.

The position requires hands-on expertise in health economic modeling, HTA submissions, network meta-analysis (NMA), matching-adjusted indirect comparisons (MAIC), and real-world evidence integration. Candidates with experience in Excel-based health economic models, R, SAS, STATA, and statistical analysis of clinical trial data will be highly preferred.

This role is ideal for professionals looking to grow in health economics, market access analytics, pharmaceutical outcomes research, and global HTA strategy within a leading biotechnology company.

Approximate Salary Range: ₹18 LPA – ₹28 LPA (Estimated for HEOR Senior Associate roles in the pharmaceutical industry in India)


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop global health economic models including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, cost minimization, and budget impact models

  • Build models using techniques such as Markov models and partitioned survival models

  • Program economic models using Excel, R, or Python integrating clinical trial data, epidemiological data, and real-world evidence

  • Conduct statistical analyses to generate model inputs including:

    • Treatment effects

    • Survival extrapolations

    • Resource utilization

    • Health utility estimates

  • Perform advanced evidence synthesis such as:

    • Network Meta-Analysis (NMA)

    • Matching-Adjusted Indirect Comparisons (MAIC)

  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses including:

    • Univariate analysis

    • Multivariate analysis

    • Probabilistic sensitivity analysis

  • Prepare model documentation including technical reports, user guides, presentations, and publications

  • Support Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and payer evidence generation

  • Monitor evolving HTA guidelines, payer requirements, and health economics methodologies

  • Communicate complex economic results to technical and non-technical stakeholders


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Economics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related fields

  • 3+ years experience (Master’s) or 5+ years experience (Bachelor’s) in health economic modelling in pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting environments

  • Hands-on experience developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models

  • Experience with NMA and MAIC methodologies

  • Strong proficiency in Excel-based economic modelling

  • Knowledge of statistical tools such as R, SAS, STATA, or Python

  • Experience supporting HTA submissions, payer evidence packages, or market access strategies

  • Strong understanding of clinical data analysis, epidemiology, and real-world evidence integration


Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with global HTA agencies and reimbursement frameworks

  • Advanced statistical modelling for survival analysis and comparative effectiveness research

  • Familiarity with real-world evidence and observational data analysis

  • Experience leveraging AI or automation tools in health economics modelling
