Job Overview

Merck Group is seeking a highly qualified Medical Manager – Oncology to lead medical affairs activities and scientific engagement initiatives across North India. The role focuses on strengthening scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, driving medical strategy implementation, and supporting oncology therapeutic area development.

This position plays a critical role in advancing oncology disease management, supporting clinical research initiatives, and ensuring scientific integrity across medical communications and stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute medical affairs strategies aligned with global and regional oncology objectives.

Develop and maintain strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.

Provide scientific and clinical expertise related to oncology products, therapies, and disease management.

Engage with oncologists and healthcare professionals across multiple tumor types, including head and neck cancer, colorectal cancer, renal cell carcinoma, lung cancer, and urothelial carcinoma.

Respond to medical and scientific queries from healthcare professionals using evidence-based data and clinical insights.

Generate, consolidate, and communicate field medical insights, treatment trends, and unmet medical needs.

Support investigator-initiated studies and clinical research collaborations.

Develop and implement medical education programs, scientific exchange initiatives, and training programs for healthcare stakeholders.

Contribute to medical communication strategies, including digital scientific engagement platforms.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and company standards in all medical activities.

Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, regulatory, and clinical teams to support business and patient care objectives.


Education Requirements

MD in Pharmacology, MBBS, MDS, BDS, PhD in Life Sciences, Immunology, or equivalent medical qualification.

Advanced knowledge of oncology therapeutic areas and clinical practice preferred.


Experience Required

4–6 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Prior experience in oncology or multiple therapeutic areas strongly preferred.

Experience in scientific engagement, clinical research support, and healthcare professional interaction.

Demonstrated expertise in medical communication and stakeholder management.

Experience in digital medical communication and scientific education initiatives is advantageous.
