Summary

The Partnership Manager will oversee and manage collaborations in India to achieve strategic objectives and enhance access to Novartis medicines. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams—including finance, commercial, SCM, regulatory, quality, and pharmacovigilance (PV)—to ensure compliance with Novartis policies while supporting partners in the distribution and promotion of Novartis products. Additionally, the role involves assisting Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) in negotiating and structuring partnership deals.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alliance Management:

    • Organize and deliver Novartis training programs for partners post-agreement execution.
    • Coordinate with regulatory teams to finalize artwork changes and ensure timely implementation of price adjustments.
    • Monitor partners to ensure adherence to Annual Purchase Commitments and Key Performance Indicators as outlined in agreements.
    • Facilitate timely Purchase Order submissions from partners and collaborate with the Novartis Supply Team for prompt delivery.
    • Negotiate commercial terms and other agreement provisions during the contract term, including compliance with P3, pharmacovigilance, quality, and regulatory obligations.
    • Lead quarterly Joint Steering Committee meetings to review partnership performance and address any challenges.
  • Business Development:

    • Conduct market and company profiling to prepare a target list of potential partners.
    • Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) presentations and guide partners in creating business proposals.
    • Prepare financial models, scenario analyses, and profitability outlooks to support negotiations and partnership deals.
    • Collaborate with the Legal Team to prepare Term Sheets and Commercial Agreements, and lead cross-functional teams to facilitate deal execution.
  • Reporting & Compliance:

    • Provide internal updates on partner business performance, including monthly reports, regional trackers, and BD&L governance meeting reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with Novartis policies through spot checks of partner programs and activities.
    • Coordinate with Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory teams to approve partner promotional inputs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to understand product profiles and key value drivers of deals.
  • Familiarity with financial tools and proficiency in Excel modeling.
  • Strong negotiation skills and analytical expertise.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Alliance Management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead projects.

Desirable Requirements:

  • MBA or a background in science.
  • Additional experience in alliance management.
