Job Summary:
Fortrea, a leading global CRO, is hiring a Site Budget & Contracts Specialist to join its Functional Service Provider (FSP) team. This remote role (USA or Canada) involves preparing and negotiating clinical trial budgets and agreements, ensuring timely contract execution, and liaising with legal and site teams. If you have 2+ years of site-facing contract negotiation experience at a CRO level, this is your opportunity to support global clinical research operations while working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) using approved templates
Negotiate budgets and financial exhibits with clinical sites
Collaborate with legal and clinical teams to ensure compliant contract terms
Generate site budgets from approved country budgets
Research local medical procedure costs for site-level budgeting
Track and maintain accuracy in the contract tracking database
Prepare internal approval documents and ensure audit-readiness
Serve as the liaison between legal, clinical operations, and site personnel
Manage Master Services Agreements (MSAs) with institutions
Post fully executed contracts in eFiliA and secure drives
Participate in study kick-off meetings and internal audits
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational education (scientific or commercial)
Minimum 2 years of budget/contract negotiation experience at a CRO
Direct site-facing experience in contract execution
Understanding of standard clinical contract language
Knowledge of healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical research industry preferred
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks remotely
