Internship Overview:
Gilead’s Clinical Operations internship provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in clinical trials while contributing to high-impact projects. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn industry best practices, and support the mission of delivering innovative therapies to patients globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and update project-specific information in clinical trial management systems, databases, and other tools.

  • Assist with filing, reviewing, and organizing study documents in the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF).

  • Collaborate with CROs, vendors, and cross-functional teams to facilitate study plan development and review.

  • Review monitoring visit reports, address open action items, and support adherence to study monitoring strategies.

  • Arrange, attend, and facilitate project meetings and conference calls as needed.

  • Ensure deliverables comply with established practices, policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing internship contributions and learnings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Minimum GPA of 2.8.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, or eligible for CPT/OPT through your university.

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, PhD, or PharmD program at an accredited U.S. university or college.

  • Junior or Senior undergraduates, or Graduate/Doctoral students.

  • Enrollment in full-time study in the fall semester following the internship.

  • Availability to complete a 10–12 week consecutive internship between May and August.

  • Ability to relocate if necessary and work onsite for the internship duration.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in relevant fields (PharmD, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, MBA, or related disciplines).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
Interns may receive paid company holidays, sick time, and housing stipends if eligible. Hourly pay ranges from $19.00 to $55.00, depending on qualifications, education level, and location.
