Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Clinical Database Development Specialist to design, develop, and maintain clinical study databases and related systems. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of electronic data capture (EDC) systems, clinical trial management tools, and SQL-based query development. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing moderately complex projects while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, document, test, and support clinical study databases and cross-system interfaces per established business processes.

  • Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of clinical reports, data transfers, and other components related to clinical studies.

  • Apply industry standards and best practices to ensure high-quality database development.

  • Partner as a clinical technical specialist in planning, designing, and implementing clinical applications.

  • Provide technical guidance and task direction to vendors.

  • Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance skills and performance.

  • Execute project management activities including time management, milestone tracking, budget oversight, issue resolution, and progress communication.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, methods, and industry trends in clinical data management.

  • Review and adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in clinical database development or clinical data management.

  • Advanced proficiency with EDC systems (e.g., Medidata Rave) and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).

  • Strong SQL skills and experience in advanced query development.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage moderately complex projects independently.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
