Role Overview

Lilly Bengaluru is seeking a HEOR/Evidence Synthesis Consultant or Senior Consultant to support high-quality health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives. This role strengthens global and regional health technology assessment (HTA) strategies, informs access and reimbursement decisions, and contributes to evidence generation across therapeutic areas.

The Consultant/Senior Consultant will collaborate closely with HEOR teams, International HTA groups, Therapeutic Area leads, and Project Management to drive evidence planning, execution, and communication. This position also serves as a scientific subject matter expert within assigned brands or therapeutic areas.


Key Responsibilities

1. Document Preparation & Management (40%)

  • Lead the planning, writing, editing, and review of HTA and evidence-based documents.

  • Ensure scientific accuracy and data integrity in all deliverables.

  • Incorporate reviewer feedback and finalize high-quality submissions, including reimbursement dossiers.

  • Support development across multiple document types with flexibility and precision.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely progression of projects.

  • Influence timelines, project scopes, and document strategies as needed.

2. Knowledge & Skills Development (30%)

  • Maintain deep expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, disease states, and compounds.

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of RWE methodologies, value messaging, economic evaluations, and PRO studies.

  • Lead scientific data disclosure planning, submission strategy development, and evidence communication.

  • Provide informal coaching, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing, contributing to global best practices.

  • Support cross-functional training, capability development, and scientific excellence.

3. Operational & Organizational Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.

  • Represent the Bengaluru HEOR capability in cross-functional collaborations.

  • Provide strategic leadership across HEOR initiatives and organizational projects.

  • Drive effective implementation of evidence plans and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on teamwork, recognition, and diversity.

4. Capability Building & Stakeholder Value (5%)

  • Strengthen awareness of HEOR value across global organizations.

  • Participate in capability assessments and contribute to future development opportunities.

  • Represent Lilly Bengaluru HEOR in key leadership forums to highlight achievements.


Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD), Master’s degree, or PharmD.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in health economics, health outcomes, HEOR, or evidence synthesis.

  • Minimum 3 years of project or portfolio management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead complex scientific or strategic initiatives.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong expertise in HEOR, RWE studies, reimbursement assessment, and value evidence generation.

  • High-level scientific comprehension with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with root-cause identification and resolution.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across global organizations.

Preferred Skills

  • In-depth understanding of the US and global healthcare systems.

  • Experience in cross-functional leadership, scientific communication, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to drive scientific strategy and operational excellence in dynamic environments.
