Position Summary
The Field Specialist / Surgical Tech Educator will educate and train clinical end-users (surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff) on the safe and effective use of surgical products across multiple portfolios. This role is primarily focused on in-servicing, education, and clinical analytics, working closely with the client’s sales team to ensure successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver in-service training and education on medical/surgical devices
Provide clinical support in hospitals and operating room environments
Collaborate with sales reps to identify opportunities and support sales objectives
Serve as a clinical expert and trusted advisor for healthcare professionals
Present product education to both large and small groups
Deliver analytics and post-training reports to internal and external stakeholders
Develop and maintain relationships with both clinical and non-clinical personnel
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (4-year, required)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Preferred
2–3 years of experience in Medical Sales or as a Surgical Technologist (3–5 years preferred)
Valid driver’s license required
Skills & Competencies
Strong presentation and public speaking skills
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a sales team
Excellent written and verbal communication
Organizational and time/territory management skills
Clinical decision-making and business acumen
Analytical proficiency with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships in clinical settings
Comfortable working non-traditional hours as needed (nights, weekends)
Performance Expectations
Performance will be benchmarked against peers in the Clinical Specialist team
Regular feedback and coaching provided
Bonus eligibility is directly tied to meeting and exceeding performance metrics
Compensation & Benefits
