Senior Field Clinical Specialist – Vascular Devices (Remote, USA)

Role Overview:
Abbott Vascular is seeking a Senior Field Clinical Specialist to join our Global Clinical Affairs team. This fully remote position is open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States. The Specialist will serve as a highly experienced resource responsible for clinical trial oversight, data collection, investigator management, and overall clinical research strategy for Abbott Vascular products.

This role plays a critical part in supporting the development, execution, and reporting of clinical trials while ensuring regulatory compliance and advancing Abbott’s mission to deliver minimally invasive and cost-effective vascular solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement clinical protocols and ensure completion of final study reports.

  • Recruit clinical investigators, negotiate study designs, and manage study budgets.

  • Direct human clinical trials (Phases III & IV) for products under development.

  • Monitor and report adverse events, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Coordinate reporting for regulatory submissions and maintain protocol adherence.

  • Oversee investigator initiations and group studies, providing guidance and oversight.

  • Act as consultant or liaison with external partners under licensing agreements, as needed.

  • Travel up to 80% to support clinical activities and investigator engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Cath Lab and/or Medical Device operations.

  • Strong knowledge of coronary and peripheral technologies.

  • Experience supporting clinical trials and product development.

  • Cath Lab Technician, Surgical Tech, or relevant medical device experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of OCT technology is an advantage.

Compensation:

  • Base salary range: $75,300 – $150,700 (location-dependent).
