Job Overview:

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Division Director for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology within the Department of Internal Medicine. This is a leadership opportunity for a clinician-educator with a strong track record in academic medicine and a commitment to advancing clinical care, research, and education. The Division Director will work closely with faculty and staff to foster excellence in patient care, teaching, and research, and will have the opportunity to shape the future of the division in collaboration with UC Health and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the clinical services and consultative needs of UC Physicians, the Primary Care Network, and the region, focusing on high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Develop strategies to expand clinical and basic science research within the division.
  • Optimize the use of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to enhance service delivery.
  • Set and monitor clinical productivity targets, ensuring fiscal responsibility for divisional finances.
  • Establish annual goals for academic, clinical, and research outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and support for faculty and staff recruitment, development, and annual reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance multidisciplinary care and expand initiatives, including telemedicine.
  • Participate in leadership discussions and strategic planning for department growth and improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent medical degree.
  • Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
  • Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
  • At least 10 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership in an academic medical setting.
