Job Title: Associate/Professor and Director, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology
Location: University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH

Overview:
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, a leader in training healthcare professionals and advancing research in the medical field, is seeking a highly qualified Division Director for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic division in collaboration with UC Health and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, focusing on clinical care, research, and education. The Director will oversee a broad portfolio of clinical services, guide research development, and foster academic growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a clinical portfolio, addressing both consultative and procedural needs for UC Physicians, the Primary Care Network, and regional tertiary/quaternary needs.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for expanding clinical and basic science research.
  • Optimize the utilization of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the division.
  • Establish clinical productivity targets and provide fiscal oversight of divisional finances.
  • Set academic, clinical, and research goals aligned with the department's mission.
  • Participate in strategic development and Department Chair’s Council of Champions.
  • Manage faculty recruitment, mentorship, and conduct annual reviews.
  • Foster collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and research initiatives.
  • Address concerns from staff, patients, providers, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
  • Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.

Required Experience:

  • Current faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
  • At least 10 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and management experience.

  • Proven success in building and leading large, interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
