Job Summary:
The Manager of Clinical Data Management will lead and support a team of Data Management professionals, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality databases and related deliverables that meet customer requirements. This role combines operational leadership, staff development, project oversight, and client interaction to drive excellence in clinical data management processes.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Oversight

  • Manage and mentor Data Management staff to develop technical, process, and drug development expertise.

  • Ensure team compliance with SOPs, project scopes, and quality standards.

  • Provide expert review for CRF/eCRF design, database setup, validation programming, Data Management Plans, and database deliverables.

Project & Client Engagement

  • Act as a key point of contact for technical advice and problem resolution with internal and external customers.

  • Participate in bid defenses, kick-off meetings, and proposal reviews.

  • Contribute to RFI, RFP, and budgeting processes.

People & Performance Management

  • Hold bi-monthly meetings with direct reports to review project status, risks, utilization, training needs, and career goals.

  • Develop plans for improving employee engagement and ensuring global consistency in team operations.

  • Manage staffing needs, scheduling, and workload balancing in collaboration with project leads.

Quality & Compliance

  • Support and participate in internal and external audits/inspections.

  • Ensure staff readiness for audits and adherence to industry regulations.

Business & Financial Oversight

  • Monitor project finances including EAC, forecasting, burn-rate, and scope changes.

  • Drive both short-term and long-term business and financial results.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical, Biological, Mathematical Sciences, Nursing, or a related field (required).

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, including people management.

  • Advanced knowledge of Data Management processes, systems, and deliverables.

  • Strong understanding of clinical drug development processes.

Skills:

  • Proven leadership and staff management skills.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management abilities.

  • Effective mentoring and coaching capabilities.

  • Proficiency in risk evaluation, decision-making, and problem-solving.

  • Understanding of basic project finance concepts.
