🌍 Job Summary

Medpace, a global Clinical Research Organization (CRO), is expanding its Core Laboratory operations and seeking a full-time, office-based Cardiologist – Medical Director to join our Mumbai office.

In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of medical experts, playing a key role in ensuring the highest quality of cardiac data review and clinical trial oversight. This is an exciting opportunity to use your medical expertise to influence global research outcomes.


🫀 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, training, and management for central readers of cardiac imaging and EKG data.

  • Collaborate with Core Lab management on the technical aspects of cardiac study assessments.

  • Participate in sponsor site visits and audits related to cardiac evaluations.

  • Train and demonstrate competency in independent central review of EKG and cardiac imaging data for clinical trials.

  • Review study-related documents, including:

    • Protocols

    • Image Review Charters

    • Other clinical and technical documents as required.

  • Complete source documents accurately and promptly per protocol and Medpace SOPs.

  • Conduct blinded independent reviews of EKG and cardiac imaging data as per:

    • Study endpoints

    • Clinical trial protocols

    • GCP guidelines and internal SOPs.

  • Participate in IntraReader and InterReader variability assessments.

  • Contribute to the development and review of SOPs and study-specific procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Core Labs and study teams.


🎓 Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (M.D.) and current medical licensure (mandatory).

  • Board Certification in Cardiology preferred (or Board Eligibility with equivalent training).

  • Proven experience interpreting:

    • EKG and Holter-EKG

    • At least one cardiac imaging modality (e.g., Echocardiography, MRI, CT).

  • Experience using EKG and cardiac image analysis software, including PACS systems.

  • Familiarity with clinical trial workflows and cardiac endpoint assessment.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project).

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
