Job Title

Pharmacovigilance (PV) Manager / Team Lead


Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Reporting

  • Perform triage and review for initial validity assessment of cases (spontaneous, health authority, clinical trial, literature).

  • Evaluate the need for expedited reporting to Health Authorities/partners, ensuring adherence to reporting timelines.

  • Prepare standard reporting forms (e.g., CIOMS I, MedWatch Forms, XML files).

  • Prepare and send follow‐up requests.

  • Submit Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) to Health Authorities and partners.

  • Handle case processing, including data entry, QC, case completion, and documentation.

Project & Quality Management

  • Ensure quality management, workload management, compliance, and documentation for assigned PV projects.

  • Manage project coordination, resource allocation, and compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

  • Write/review quality documents such as SDEAs, SOPs, working instructions, procedures, templates, and project metafiles.

  • Organize and deliver training on PV procedures and documentation.

  • Represent the PV department during client audits and regulatory inspections.

People Leadership & Development

  • Act as line manager for assigned staff.

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and support PV team members.

  • Conduct goal setting, annual appraisals, and provide constructive feedback for staff development.

  • Ensure training compliance for all PV staff.

  • Actively mentor new joiners to integrate them into the team and foster collaboration.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities

  • Ensure monthly invoices are generated and shared for all PV clients.

  • Maintain departmental CVs, job descriptions, and training records as per SOPs.
