Position Summary:

The PI/Data Coordinator works in collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager to coordinate Performance Improvement and Patient Safety. The PI Coordinator facilitates efficient, effective, and quality care for the patient population utilizing advanced education, mentoring, and clinical skills. Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and monitoring patient outcomes, complications, and deviations from established standards and policies.
  • Trauma registry responsibilities in collaboration with the Trauma Data Specialist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • RN required; BSN preferred.

Required Length and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience.
  • Previous experience in caring for the patient population is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Performance Improvement/Quality preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, or Registry:

  • Registered Nurse with a current, unencumbered license to practice in the state of Ohio.
  • Current appropriate certification preferred for the patient population (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, PCAR/TCAR, TNCC).
  • Must obtain the following within six months of hire:
    • AAAM AIS Course Certificate.
    • Trauma Registry Course Certificate.
    • ICD-10 Course Certificate.
