About the Role:

Pfizer is seeking a Junior/Assistant Associate – Manufacturing to join its Vizag facility, part of Pfizer Global Supply. This role involves operating and maintaining sterile manufacturing equipment for injectables, vials, and ampoules, ensuring compliance with cGMP and USFDA standards. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, life-saving medicines to patients worldwide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production equipment for injectable, sterile, parenteral manufacturing including vial/ampoule filling, capping, compounding, washing, sealing, stopper processing, and terminal sterilization.

  • Conduct visual inspections and maintain strict quality standards.

  • Monitor production parameters and adjust processes to ensure optimal output.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate production records.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and improve efficiency.

  • Ensure full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety guidelines.

  • Work effectively in a USFDA-regulated environment.


Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or B.Sc. in relevant discipline (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • 1–6 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably sterile injectables.

  • Proficiency in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Technical troubleshooting skills with manufacturing equipment.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and in teams.

  • Proficiency with office software and manufacturing systems.


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Understanding of global regulatory requirements and quality standards.

  • Familiarity with Pfizer Learning Solution and Quality Tracking Systems.

  • Ability to train and mentor junior colleagues.
