Your Role at Baxter

Join Baxter as a Research Associate III and take the lead in Sterility Assurance (SA) projects! In this role, you’ll manage multi-disciplinary teams, collaborate with manufacturing facilities, and engage with regulatory affairs to drive product and process excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead multiple SA projects with minimal guidance, managing schedules, budgets, and product requirements.
  • Provide input for product designs and support regulatory submissions and responses.
  • Write and execute microbiological and qualification protocols for moist heat and device sterilization projects.
  • Join cross-functional product development teams for drug and device projects.
  • Provide status updates on project progress to teams, management, and stakeholders.
  • Offer on-site support for Baxter manufacturing facilities, assisting with validation and process qualification.
  • Participate in investigations, troubleshooting, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Plan, design, and execute microbiological test methods.
  • Lead agile internal project meetings and collaborate with team members to ensure milestones are met.
  • Evaluate, summarize, and interpret technical data and test results.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD with 0 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in laboratory, technical, writing, and computer skills.
  • Strong ability to organize and communicate complex information effectively.
  • A logical, methodical approach to solving problems and making recommendations.
  • Contribute beyond your primary responsibilities to meet project goals.
  • Mentor junior associates and help them grow in their roles.
  • Independent decision-making on routine tasks and project needs.
  • Ability to design experiments and draw meaningful conclusions from lab data.
  • Travel to Baxter manufacturing facilities or suppliers up to 20% of the time.

Compensation

At Baxter, we value equitable pay and strive for transparency in our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $96,000 to $132,000 annually, with potential for bonuses. Individual pay is determined by location, skills, experience, and other factors.
