Job Summary
Amgen is hiring a Sr Associate Biostatistical Programming professional to support the Centre for Observational Research (CfOR) by developing statistical programming solutions using SAS, R, SQL, and potentially Python. This hands-on role will work on real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) generation, collaborating globally and contributing to regulatory submissions, publications, and internal decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Write, test, validate, and execute programs in Unix, Databricks, SAS, R, and SQL.
Create analysis datasets, tables, and figures for regulatory submission and publications.
Lead technical programming initiatives and process improvements within CfOR.
Collaborate across global teams to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Manage programming timelines, adhere to SOPs, and contribute to study documents.
Participate in audits, recruitment, policy reviews, and team meetings.
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree + 1–3 years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree + 3–5 years of experience OR
Diploma + 7–9 years of experience
Fields: Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Economics, or other relevant disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
Strong programming experience in SAS or R and SQL; Python preferred.
Experience working with real-world healthcare data (RWD), including claims and EHR systems (e.g., MarketScan, Optum, Flatiron, CPRD).
Understanding of OMOP common data model, CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM), and epidemiological concepts.
Strong communication, collaboration across time zones, and agile project management.
