Position Summary:
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Hematology will serve as a scientific and clinical expert across Johnson & Johnson’s oncology portfolio for the Nebraska, Kansas, and Northern Iowa territory. This role involves developing strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), supporting clinical research efforts, delivering impactful medical education, and capturing strategic insights that shape the company’s medical and scientific initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a territory-specific strategic engagement plan with KOLs and healthcare providers.

  • Conduct high-level scientific exchanges to understand and support current treatment paradigms and uncover unmet needs.

  • Respond to unsolicited clinical and research queries from external stakeholders.

  • Collect and deliver actionable medical insights aligned with organizational strategy.

  • Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical research.

  • Collaborate compliantly with internal teams including R&D, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Stay current with scientific developments through continuous learning and congress participation.

  • Foster an inclusive environment that mirrors the diversity of the communities served.

  • Maintain thorough understanding of compliance guidelines, SOPs, and policies.

  • Participate in individual development planning and lead additional projects as needed.

  • Complete administrative responsibilities (e.g., documentation, expense reporting) timely and accurately.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent); post-graduate experience is essential.

  • Minimum 2 years of MSL or equivalent medical/scientific experience.

  • Strong scientific acumen and understanding of research/healthcare systems.

  • Ability to travel up to 70%.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Preferred:

  • Fellowship or residency training.

  • Board certification for clinical professionals.

  • Prior experience in oncology, particularly hematology.
