Principal Field Clinical Specialist – Remote (Eastern US)

Location: Remote | Based in or near Boston, MA / Eastern NY / CT / RI / VT / NH / ME

Job Summary:

Abbott’s Vascular Division is hiring a Principal Field Clinical Specialist to support product development and late-phase clinical trials across the Eastern United States. In this remote role, you will lead and manage the clinical execution of human trials (Phases III & IV), engage clinical investigators, monitor protocol adherence, and support R&D efforts for minimally invasive vascular devices. Ideal for professionals with strong Cath Lab, surgical tech, or medical device clinical experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage clinical protocols for vascular device trials.

  • Lead clinical trial planning, execution, and data collection activities.

  • Recruit and manage relationships with clinical investigators.

  • Support adverse event reporting and safety monitoring functions.

  • Coordinate submission of reports to regulatory agencies.

  • Monitor adherence to clinical study protocols and determine study completion.

  • Lead investigator meetings and group study coordination.

  • Act as liaison between Abbott and external corporate partners under licensing agreements.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum 7 years of Cath Lab and/or medical device experience.

  • Strong background in interventional procedures and device implementation.

  • Clinical trial support experience, particularly in vascular and coronary technologies.

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and clinical reporting standards.

  • Prior experience as Cath Lab Tech or Surgical Tech.

  • Experience with OCT imaging highly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including potential multi-state coverage.
