Clinical Sales Specialist – Structural Heart (TAVI) | Baltimore, MD
Job Summary:
Abbott is seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist to support TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) clinical trials and commercial initiatives in Baltimore, Maryland. This dynamic role integrates clinical, technical, and educational expertise to drive procedural success and optimize patient outcomes. As part of the Structural Heart division, you’ll collaborate with interventional cardiologists and cardiac teams to support case execution, customer education, and product adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-depth procedural support during TAVI trials and commercial cases
Train and educate interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and cath lab teams
Conduct valve sizing using 3Mensio CT analysis software
Scrub-in and assist with valve preparation and deployment during procedures
Facilitate trial enrollment and subject selection committee calls
Lead pre-implant planning and post-implant debriefings
Manage product inventory, quality documentation, and field stock
Collaborate with Territory Managers to drive business planning and customer engagement
Input clinical data into Salesforce and Mentor software
Stay informed on TAVI market trends, competition, and new developments
Participate in national sales meetings and regional trainings
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent clinical degree (e.g., RN, RCIS, NP, PA)
Minimum 9 years of clinical experience, with 5+ years in TAVI or related procedures
Hands-on experience in 300+ TAVI cases strongly preferred
Proven ability to provide clinical education and procedural support in high-acuity settings
Must meet hospital credentialing requirements including vaccination
Strong communication, coordination, and customer service skills
