The Opportunity:

Abbott is launching an exciting next-gen venture in Biowearables. The Lingo Biowearables business will empower users to monitor their physical and mental states through biomarkers, leading to improved performance. This Senior Medical and Clinical Director role, based in Alameda, CA, is integral to the leadership of this innovative division.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead medical affairs and clinical research teams, overseeing hiring, strategy, goals, performance, and budgets. Report outcomes to division leadership.
  • Contribute to medical affairs, including medical claims creation, literature reviews, and educational content development across platforms.
  • Manage outreach to users, commercial partners, scientific advisory boards (SAB), and medical key opinion leaders.
  • Represent Abbott and Lingo Biowearables at conferences, public events, and in media.
  • Oversee clinical research strategies, human subject research training, clinical trial planning, real-world evidence (RWE) studies, and clinical protocol creation.
  • Manage trial investigator recruitment, IRB interactions, trial safety, adverse event reporting, site agreements, and budgets.
  • Lead regulatory strategy contributions, including regulatory filings, quality system reviews, customer service monitoring, publications, patents, and intellectual property.

Qualifications/Education/Background:

  • Doctorate Degree (MD required, ± 19 years of experience).
  • 10+ years of expert-level experience in medicine.
