Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) is responsible for developing, reviewing, and managing high-quality medical and scientific content across multiple formats. This includes manuscripts, abstracts, congress presentations, systematic literature reviews, infographics, videos, and digital medical education materials. The role demands expertise in scientific communication, content quality oversight, process training, and the adoption of innovative tools such as generative AI.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Content Development

  • Independently develop and review medical content including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters, graphical abstracts, literature reviews, plain language summaries, and digital resources.

  • Research, organize, interpret, and quality-check diverse technical/medical information.

  • Ensure content accuracy, clarity, and suitability for the intended audience in alignment with internal and external publication standards.

Quality Review & Training

  • Review deliverables prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal checklists.

  • Train and mentor team members in writing, reviewing, and using new technology tools, including generative AI platforms.

  • Provide feedback and develop skill enhancement sessions to uphold content quality standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Graphics, Compliance, Statistics, and others) to deliver integrated medical communication solutions.

  • Represent the MCCS team in Scientific Publication Committee (SPC) meetings and support authors in resolving project-related challenges.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Project & Process Management

  • Manage multiple projects independently ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and quality.

  • Track progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of therapeutic area (TA) repositories, internal checklists, and process maps.

Innovation & Digital Transformation

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to implement innovative medical communication strategies (digital, interactive, modular formats).

  • Champion adoption of new content creation tools and digital technologies across the MCCS team.

  • Lead training sessions on emerging tools and methodologies to enhance overall team productivity and compliance.


Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MRes, MPharm, MSc, PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MPH).

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in medical writing or content development within pharma, biotech, CRO, or academic settings.

  • Proven ability to lead projects independently from concept to completion.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Proficient in leveraging technology for medical content development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ISMPP Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP®).

  • Experience with multimedia and omnichannel content creation.

  • Quick learner of emerging digital tools and AI-based platforms.

  • Prior global work or educational experience.

  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
