Role Overview

As a Research Assistant I – Bilingual, you will play a key role in clinical research by ensuring participant safety, supporting study protocols, and providing exceptional participant experiences. This role requires fluency in English and Spanish and a strong clinical and interpersonal skill set.


Key Responsibilities

Participant Interaction & Support

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of study participants; intervene and document events as needed.

  • Guide participants through the informed consent process clearly and comfortably.

  • Be the approachable, friendly face that enhances participant experience.

Clinical Support

  • Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, ECGs, medication administration, catheter insertion, and venipuncture.

  • Manage study supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness for all procedures.

  • Support team members with additional clinical tasks as needed.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Follow study protocols and timelines accurately to maintain smooth study operations.

  • Maintain proper documentation and compliance with clinical research regulations.

  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to meet study goals efficiently.


Qualifications

  • Bilingual: Fluent in written and spoken English; fluent in spoken Spanish.

  • Certified Phlebotomy & Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or equivalent.

  • At least 1 year of prior Research Assistant experience.

  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Tech-savvy: proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ClinSpark experience is a plus.

  • Regulatory or clinical research experience is a bonus.

  • Self-starter, highly organized, and proactive.

  • People-person with strong interpersonal skills to interact with study volunteers effectively.
