Overview

Genmab, a global biotechnology leader specializing in innovative antibody therapeutics, is seeking a Digital Risk Management Intern to support its digital risk and third-party security initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in vendor risk assessment, digital risk tracking, and cybersecurity governance, offering practical exposure to global risk management frameworks and information security practices.

This role is ideal for students with a foundational knowledge of cybersecurity who are eager to gain real-world experience in a dynamic, fast-paced biotech environment.


Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Digital Risk Management:

  • Conduct third-party due diligence reviews, assessing vendor security documentation and identifying control gaps.

  • Support risk owners in documenting risk treatment plans and tracking mitigation activities using ServiceNow GRC.

  • Perform independent analysis of the risk register to detect patterns, trends, and areas requiring attention.

Governance & Process Improvement:

  • Contribute to the enhancement of information security policies, processes, and controls.

  • Participate in team learning sessions and meetings to strengthen knowledge of cyber risk management.

  • Research and propose solutions to mitigate critical or high-risk gaps.

  • Develop and implement custom GPTs to enhance workflow productivity.


Required Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Risk Management, or related engineering fields.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn with a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with security tools such as GRC systems (e.g., ServiceNow), vulnerability scanners (Tenable, Defender), or SIEM platforms (Sentinel).

  • Experience interpreting security reports, including SOC 2 Type II audits, penetration test summaries, or vulnerability scans.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.


Internship Details

  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in the Princeton office, 2 days remote per week.

  • Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Mentorship: Weekly guidance from senior risk management and cybersecurity professionals.
