Role Summary

The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) acts as a field-based scientific expert responsible for implementing medical strategies and supporting scientific engagement within a defined region. This role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals (HCPs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), internal teams, and other stakeholders to enhance patient outcomes and ensure the safe and effective use of company products, with a focus on Oncology.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Strategy & Scientific Expertise

  • Develop, implement, and provide input to regional medical strategies.

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with Scientific Leaders (SLs), Key Decision Makers (KDMs), HCPs, and academic institutions.

  • Maintain in-depth therapeutic and clinical expertise in oncology, company products, emerging therapies, clinical guidelines, and disease management.

Scientific Exchange & Education

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date medical information to healthcare providers.

  • Conduct scientific discussions, presentations, and educational programs for KOLs and internal stakeholders.

  • Facilitate advisory boards, scientific symposia, and conferences.

  • Support pre-launch and launch training programs for sales teams.

Clinical Data & Research Support

  • Interpret and communicate clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and other scientific information.

  • Provide support for local studies, including investigator-initiated trials and study site identification.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Market Access) to align on medical strategies and clinical trial design.

Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, GCP, ICH guidelines, and industry standards.

  • Adhere to company Code of Conduct and all ethical requirements in medical engagements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop peer-level relationships to enable scientific exchange and collaboration.

  • Provide strategic input to product management and sales teams based on field insights.


Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Medical degree (MD), Doctorate (Ph.D.), Dental degree (MDS/BDS), or other relevant life sciences degrees (biology, pharmacology, etc.)

Experience

  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry, preferably in clinical research or medical affairs.

  • Expertise in the therapeutic area, with preference for Oncology.

Skills

  • Strong scientific and clinical knowledge, including clinical trial design, data analysis, and interpretation.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work independently.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines relevant to medical communications.
