Job Overview

The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) is a key scientific and medical contributor within the EPD Medical Organization, responsible for providing high-quality, non-promotional medical and scientific support across assigned therapeutic areas. This role involves significant field-based engagement with healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards.

Reporting to the Senior Manager RMA / Head RMA, the Regional Medical Advisor supports the initiation, oversight, and follow-up of medical projects and selected clinical activities, while strengthening the company’s scientific credibility at regional and national levels.


Key Responsibilities

Medical & Scientific Affairs

  • Provide accurate, balanced, and up-to-date scientific and medical information to physicians, healthcare professionals, and opinion leaders.

  • Develop and maintain deep therapeutic area expertise to enable credible scientific dialogue and evidence-based discussions.

  • Deliver high-quality scientific presentations in individual or group settings, including clinical meetings, educational sessions, and medical forums.

KOL & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build, manage, and strengthen professional relationships with established and emerging Regional and National Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Support collaboration with academic institutions, medical societies, and scientific organizations to advance scientific exchange and education.

  • Participate in the identification and selection of qualified physicians for research collaborations, speaker programs, congresses, symposia, and roundtable discussions, ensuring high scientific integrity.

Medical Projects & Clinical Support

  • Assist in the initiation, oversight, and follow-up of medical and post-marketing clinical activities, including:

    • Phase IV and post-authorization studies

    • Registries and database projects

    • Epidemiological surveys

    • Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS)

  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, guidelines, SOPs, and internal processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Medical Managers, Medical Advisors, Clinical Research and Operations teams, Pharmacovigilance, and Medical Information teams.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to design and deliver high-science medical initiatives that support therapy shaping while maintaining non-promotional integrity.

  • Coordinate with sales teams within the assigned geographic region to ensure aligned and compliant medical support.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all interactions and activities comply with local, national, and global regulations, company policies, industry codes of conduct, and best practices.

  • Support pharmacovigilance activities, including safety data exchange and adverse event awareness, as required.

Education Qualifications

  • Medical, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences qualification (MBBS, MD, M.Pharm, PharmD, MSc or equivalent)

  • Advanced scientific or clinical training is preferred


Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Medical Advisory, or a similar pharmaceutical role

  • Experience in KOL engagement, scientific exchange, and post-marketing medical activities is highly desirable
