Role Overview

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager – Karnataka & Kerala to lead sales operations within its Biosciences Division (BID). This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and managing key customer and channel relationships across the assigned territories. The role plays a critical part in promoting a comprehensive portfolio of reagents, instruments, and consumables that support scientific research and development of new medicines.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in sales within life sciences, laboratory products, diagnostics, or related industries

  • At least 2+ years of people management or sales team leadership experience preferred

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline

  • Equivalent experience in scientific or technical sales leadership may be considered

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets

  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams across Karnataka and Kerala

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, and channel partners

  • Promote Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Biosciences portfolio, including reagents, instruments, and consumables

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized customer solutions and value-driven offerings

  • Manage distributor and channel partner performance to ensure effective market coverage

  • Drive accurate forecasting, pricing strategy execution, and pipeline management using CRM tools

  • Support change initiatives and continuous improvement programs across the region

  • Ensure consistent customer experience, service excellence, and brand representation

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with focus on coaching, mentoring, and team development

  • Expertise in strategic planning, business analysis, and territory management

  • Strong negotiation, pricing, and contract management skills

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce, and data-driven sales analytics

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced, matrix organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing distributor and channel partner networks

  • Proven ability to implement organizational change and drive performance improvement

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
