Job Overview

Novo Nordisk is hiring a Global Project Lead (Senior Global Project Manager) to join the Global Medical Affairs team in Bangalore. This strategic role focuses on end-to-end leadership of global medical advisory boards, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and cross-functional project execution across international markets.

The position is suited for experienced pharmaceutical project management professionals with strong expertise in global event execution, KOL engagement, budget governance, and stakeholder alignment within Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of global advisory board meetings, ensuring scientific impact and operational excellence.

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, KPIs, and success metrics aligned with global medical strategy.

  • Develop and manage detailed project timelines to ensure timely delivery and milestone achievement.

  • Oversee full-cycle KOL (Key Opinion Leader) management, including contracting, compliance coordination, invoicing, and project closure.

  • Manage project budgets in collaboration with Global Medical Directors and Business Partners, ensuring cost control and financial transparency.

  • Engage and manage external vendors in accordance with corporate procurement and compliance policies.

  • Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard delivery timelines and quality standards.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration by mapping stakeholders, understanding priorities, and driving alignment across regions and affiliates.

  • Assess operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability within Medical Affairs operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in cross-functional project management, global event management, or business development within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Demonstrated experience managing global medical meetings, advisory boards, or congress-related projects.

  • Strong budget management and strategic planning expertise.

  • Proven ability to work independently while leading cross-functional teams in matrixed environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Organized, process-driven, and strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Prior exposure to Medical Affairs functions is preferred.

The Medical Communications function operates within Global Medical Affairs and Product & Portfolio Strategy. Headquartered in Denmark and supported by the Global Business Services (GBS) center in Bangalore, the team collaborates closely with global medical leaders to deliver:
