Role Overview:
The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) provides expert medical and scientific support for assigned therapeutic areas in a non-sales capacity. The RMA acts as a credible scientific liaison with physicians, key opinion leaders, academic centers, and other stakeholders, ensuring the dissemination of accurate and up-to-date medical information. This role also supports clinical projects, post-marketing studies, and medical initiatives within the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical & Scientific Support:

  • Provide scientific and technical expertise to physicians, academic centers, and key opinion leaders.

  • Ensure professional, credible, and compliant dissemination of product- and therapy-related information.

  • Deliver high-quality scientific presentations individually or in groups, including meetings, clinical sessions, and congresses.

  • Support therapy shaping initiatives through innovative medical education and scientific activities.

Clinical & Medical Projects:

  • Assist in the initiation, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies and medical projects (e.g., Phase IV studies, registries, epidemiological surveys, Investigator-Initiated Studies).

  • Ensure all activities comply with local, global, and national laws, regulations, codes of practice, SOPs, and internal policies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of scientific integrity and compliance.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with regional and national key opinion leaders.

  • Participate in the selection and engagement of qualified physicians for collaborative research, educational initiatives, or clinical support activities.

  • Serve as a liaison between the medical team, marketing, sales, and external healthcare stakeholders.

Technical Competencies:

  • Deep expertise in assigned therapeutic areas.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

  • Compliance-focused with knowledge of regulatory and ethical standards.

  • Problem-solving and conflict management abilities.

  • Effective priority setting and project management skills.

Key Interfaces:

  • Internal: Clinical Research Managers, Clinical Operations Managers, Medical Advisors, Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance teams, Marketing, Sales, and Administrative personnel.

  • External: Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, patients, participating investigators, key opinion leaders, institutions, and scientific or medical societies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced medical or scientific degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in medical affairs, clinical support, or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of clinical study oversight, post-marketing research, and medical education programs.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
