Position Summary

Syneos Health is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator I to support global finance operations through accurate invoice processing, vendor management, and timely payment execution. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors in a fast-paced, multinational environment.


Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing

  • Review, validate, and process vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and accounting standards

  • Perform invoice matching against purchase orders and goods receipt documentation

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of accounts payable transactions

Payment Processing

  • Prepare and schedule vendor payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, in accordance with agreed payment terms

  • Monitor payment status and resolve discrepancies related to payments or invoice posting

  • Assist with accounts payable reconciliations and period-end activities

Vendor Management

  • Respond to vendor queries regarding invoices and payment status in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor master data and supporting documentation

  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve invoice or vendor-related issues

Process Support & Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounts payable processes

  • Support compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and finance procedures


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience:

    • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable or finance operations

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred

  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with international teams and vendors

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with Oracle or other ERP systems

  • Exposure to shared services or global finance operations
